Karl Leahy, Director of Product Marketing at ams OSRAM
This presentation will review the existing landscape in terms of market segmentation. From there we will review the application criteria and technical tradeoffs in respect to the user’s visual experience. Using these building blocks, we explore LED and LASER technologies and how they can enable the transition from normal to smart glasses.
Karl Leahy is the Director of Marketing for illumination sources (LED and LASER) for AR Glasses. He plays a global role in promoting illumination sources for this emerging market.
A native of Arklow, Co Wicklow, Ireland, Mr. Leahy joined ams OSRAM in July 1997 and served as both a senior engineer as well as product marketing manager before assuming his current position. Prior to joining ams OSRAM, Mr. Leahy held the position of applications engineer for Lite On, Inc., located in Milpitas, California.
Mr. Leahy holds an honors degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
