ams AS7331 Spectral UV Sensor

<div>The AS7331 is a low-power, low noise integrated UV sensor. The three separated UVA, UVB and UVC channels convert optical radiation signals via UV optimized photodiodes to a digital result and realize a continuous or triggered measurement. The irradiance responsivity can be adjusted via Gain, conversion time and internal clock frequency to effect sensitivity, full scale range and LSB. The by the AS7331 detected amount of radiation in the set Gain and conversion time configuration will be provided as digital counts by the AS7331. The AS7331 offers a range of 12 Gain steps by a factor of two for each step. The conversion time is internally controlled over a wide range of 15 steps by a factor of two for each step. With the input pin (SYN), the conversion time can be externally controlled to adapt the measurement to the given environment and time base.</div><div>With its irradiance responsivity factor and conversion time, the AS7331 supports an overall huge dynamic range up to 3.43E+10 (resolution multiplied by gain range). It achieves an accuracy of up to 24-bit signal resolution (internal via I²C and shifter 16-bit), with an irradiance responsivity per count down to 2.38 nW/cm² at 64 ms integration time. Via an integrated divider, the 16-bit I²C output can be adjusted to the significant bits of interest.</div>

AS7341 is an 11-channel multi-spectral sensor for color detection and spectral analysis applications. The spectral response is defined in the wavelengths from approximately 350nm to 1000nm. 6 channels can be processed in parallel by independent ADCs while the other channels are accessible via a multiplexer. 8 optical channels cover the visible spectrum, one channel can be used to measure near infra-red light and one channel is a photo diode without filter (“clear”). The device also integrates a dedicated channel to detect 50Hz or 60Hz ambient light flicker. The flicker detection engine can also buffer data for calculating other flicker frequencies externally. The NIR channel in combination with the other VIS channel may provide information of surrounding ambient light conditions (light source detection). The device can also be synchronized to external signals via pin GPIO. <br> AS7341 integrates filters into standard CMOS silicon via Nano-optic deposited interference filtertechnology and its package provides a built in aperture to control the light entering the sensor array. <br> Control and Spectral data access is implemented through a serial I²C interface. The device is available in an ultra-low profile package with dimensions of 3.1mm x 2mm x 1mm.

The TSL2541 is a very-high sensitivity light-to-digital converter <br> that has a dark mold compound package which enables concealment behind inked glass. It approximates the human eye response to light intensity under varying lighting conditions and transforms this light intensity to a digital signal output capable through a 1.8V I²C interface. The ALS sensor features 2 output channels, a visible channel and an IR channel. The AS7262 is a cost-effective multispectral sensor-on-chip solution designed to address spectral ID applications. This highly integrated device delivers 6-channel multispectral sensing in the visible wavelengths from approximately 430nm to 670nm with full-width half-max (FWHM) of 40nm. An integrated LED driver with programmable current is provided for electronic shutter applications. <br> <br> The AS7262 integrates Gaussian filters into standard CMOS silicon via nano-optic deposited interference filter technology and is packaged in a LGA package that provides a built in aperture to control the light entering the sensor array. Control and spectral data access is implemented through either the I²C register set, or with a high level AT spectral command set via a serial UART.

The TSL2569 is a low-voltage, light-to-digital converter that transforms light intensity to a digital signal output capable of direct I2C interface. Each device combines one broadband photodiode (visible plus infrared) and one infrared-responding photodiode on a single CMOS integrated circuit capable of providing a near photopic response over an effective 20-bit dynamic range (16-bit resolution). Two integrating ADCs convert the photodiode currents to a digital output that represents the irradiance measured on each channel. This digital output can be input to a microprocessor where illuminance (ambient light level) in lux is derived using an empirical formula to approximate the human eye response. The TSL2569 device supports a traditional level style interrupt that remains asserted until the firmware clears it.

The device family integrates Gaussian filters into standard CMOS silicon via nano-optic deposited interference filter technology in LGA packages, and each AS7265x device has two integrated LED drivers with programmable current and which can be timed for electronic shutter applications.

The TSL2672 family of devices provides proximity detection when coupled with an external IR LED. The devices incorporate a constant-current LED sink driver to pulse the external IR LED and achieve very low average power consumption using the low power wait state with programmable wait time between proximity measurements. In addition, the devices are register-set and pin-compatible with the TSL2671 series and include a number of new and improved features, such as improved signal-to-noise and measurement accuracy. A proximity offset register allows compensation for optical system crosstalk between the IR LED and the sensor. To prevent false measurements, a proximity saturation bit indicates that the internal analog circuitry saturated. Interrupts have been enhanced with the addition of a sleep-after-interrupt feature that also allows for single-cycle operation.
