Premstätten, Austria and Munich, Germany (June 21st ,2024) – ams OSRAM (SIX: AMS) now offers its powerful LED technology to cyclists with the new LEDsBIKE® RACE sets, available in three variants. The most powerful model provides up to 100 metres of illumination with a light output of up to 100 lux. Certified in accordance with the German road traffic regulations (StVZO), the lights are easy to mount on any type of bicycle – from city bikes to road racers – thanks to the rubber band and flexible 360° bracket, without the need for tools. The LEDs ensure an exceptionally long battery life of up to 14 hours for the front light and 13 hours for the rear light.

Cycling isn’t just a leisure activity, especially during summer. It’s also an eco-friendly way to get around, even in low light or at night. Adequate bike lighting is crucial for road safety, keeping both the cyclist and other road users safe from harm. With the new LEDsBIKE® RACE sets from ams OSRAM, featuring proven LED technology, cyclists can count on the visibility they need.

Illuminating every situation – LEDsBike 
The new LEDsBIKE® RACE bicycle lights from ams OSRAM not only impress with their brightness but also allow simple, tool-free 360-degree mounting on all kinds of bicycles. The three variants produce 50, 80 and 100 lux and offer an impressive illumination range of up to 60, 80 and 100 metres respectively. The 80 and 100 lux versions offer two lighting modes: manual and automatic. In manual mode, a brightness level of 25, 50 or 100 per cent can be selected. In automatic mode, the light output adjusts to the ambient light conditions – for perfect illumination at any time of day or night.

High performance with extremely long battery life 
These lights impress not only with their powerful performance but also thanks to their sleek and innovative design. The modern side lighting adds a stylish touch while increasing visibility from different angles. Featuring premium build quality with a black ABS housing and a transparent polycarbonate lens, the lights are designed for maximum durability and reliability. The 100 lux version also features an additional aluminium heat sink and an integrated rear brake light for additional safety, especially in heavy traffic or during group rides. 
The rechargeable lithium-ion batteries boast an impressive usage time of up to 14 hours for the front light and up to 13 hours for the rear light, making them ideal for long bike rides or commutes. Thanks to integrated displays showing the battery level, charging status and other functions, the LEDsBIKE® lights are also dependable performers.
