EBZ Dresden offering free energy training courses for electricians

Bringing tradesmen and specialists up to speed for the “energy revolution in buildings”

The Elektrobildungs- und Technologiezentrum e.V. (EBZ), based in Dresden, is holding two-day courses for tradesmen and building specialists on the subject of LED lighting systems and their control. The course focuses on the paradigm shift that the energy revolution is bringing with it. In many cases, building operators no longer simply consume energy, they produce it as well – by means of solar panels, for example. Installations of this kind require intelligent energy management so that the generated power can be used entirely within the building itself and, ideally, cover its entire energy demands.

Because enormous energy savings can be achieved through the use of efficient lighting systems, the EBZ is collaborating with the lighting specialists Osram and Ledvance. Thanks to funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), the courses are free of charge for the participants. Anyone interested in the development project entitled “Intelligent Energy Industry – Intelligent Grids – Prosumer Networks” can obtain further information and register here: http://www.ebz.de/work/aktuelle_seminare/180111_Beleuchtungstechnik.pdf

The center of expertise project entitled “Intelligent Energy Industry – Intelligent Grids – Prosumer Networks” is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in accordance with budget chapter 0902, item 893 01, and runs from April 7, 2016 to December 31, 2019.
