Osram presents vehicle lighting highlights at Automechanika 2016

"For everything ahead of you" is Osram's slogan for Automechanika 2016 where it will be presenting interior and exterior lighting solutions, a new complete headlight, LED ambient lighting and practical car accessories. "As a global innovation and technology leader in the automotive lighting sector, OSRAM is once again this year presenting a number of innovative developments", said Hans-Joachim Schwabe, CEO Specialty Lighting at Osram. "There is something new in the area of performance, design and comfort." Osram will be in Hall 3.0, Booth D15 at Automechanika from September 13 to 17.

Tuning: LEDriving Xenarc Golf VI Edition
Following the LEDriving Xenarc headlight for the Audi A4 B7 which was introduced in 2014, Osram is now launching another full retrofit headlight, the LEDriving Xenarc Golf VI Edition. Another favorite of tuning fans, the Golf VI, can therefore be legally and with KBA-approval (German Federal Motor Transport Authority) upgraded from halogen to xenon light. Equipped with Xenarc Original D8S lamps for low and high beam, with LED daytime running light and LED signal lighting, the LEDriving Xenarc Golf VI Edition is state of the art in OEM quality. For individualist Golf VI owners, Osram's lighting designers have created three special versions of the LEDriving Xenarc Golf VI Edition: GTI, Black and Chrome. They are being premiered at Automechanika and will be available exclusively at the Essen Motor Show in November 2016.

LEDambient Connect family: app-based light styling to the beat of the music
The three newcomers to the stylish world of interior and exterior car lighting, LEDambient Tuning Lights Connect, LEDambient Pulse Connect* and LEDambient Hybrid Connect*, can be easily configured with the free LEDambient Connect app. Countless light colors and modes and therefore moods can be selected directly on a smartphone using Bluetooth. The app is compatible with the iOS and Android operating systems and is available as a free download from the Apple Store and Google Play Store. It can control several products in the same series. The LEDambient Connect series also has a special feature that enables the lights to pulsate in time to your music, creating an unmistakable look for your car. Visitors to Automechanika can see this in action on a show car.

Spectacular performance and lifetime: Night Breaker Laser, Xenarc Ultra Life and Ultra Life
Osram is presenting Night Breaker Laser, Ultra Life and Xenarc Ultra Life – three headlight lamps that offer even better performance and longer life. Thanks to a combination of innovative design and state-of-the-art technology the Night Breaker Laser delivers a particularly high light output and enhances Osram's halogen performance portfolio. Compared to standard halogen lamps it provides up to 130 percent more light which is also 20 percent whiter. A light beam that is up to 40 meters longer provides even better visibility on the road.

Drivers can now save money and valuable time thanks to the extremely long life of the redesigned Ultra Life range of halogen lamps. Following their redesign, Ultra Life headlight lamps now last up to four times longer than standard halogen lamps and offer optimum light on the road, kilometer after kilometer, up to 100,000 in fact. The new Xenarc Ultra Life series also offers exceptional durability. Like the halogen headlight lamps in the Ultra Life series, this new xenon version will last up to four times longer than a standard xenon lamp. Vehicles can therefore cover as much as 300,000 kilometers before they need replacement lamps.

LEDinspect PRO: powerful lighting for workshops
Whether you are in the inspection pit checking the chassis, operating a hoist or working deep in the engine compartment, the Slimline 280, Bonnet 1400, Pocket 280, Penlight 150 and Penlight 150 UV-A will provide you with reliable illumination so you can carry out your maintenance and repair work. These five new inspection lamps in the LEDinspect PRO series for professional users can be attached directly to the vehicle by their built-in magnet or flexible hook, making them ideal for tasks where you need both hands free. The lights are battery operated so there are no trailing cables to trip over. All the inspection lamps in the LEDinspect PRO series come with a three-year guarantee.

LEDinspect: for repair work on your car
The extended LEDinspect range for home users are also highly versatile with their magnetic holders and swivel hooks. The features of the new Pocket 160, Flashlight 15, Slimline 250, Professional 150, and Headlamp 300 have been designed to meet the requirements of maintenance and repair work in home workshops or garages, delivering the right light for a wide range of tasks. All the inspection lamps in the LEDinspect series come with a two-year guarantee.

Familiar quality, new packaging design
Osram has redesigned its packaging to make it easier for customers to select the right lamps with the features they need from the large number of headlight lamps offered by Osram. The characteristics of the headlight lamps are now assigned to different colors. For example, white and orange stands for Original lamps, green for Comfort, blue for Design, red for Performance and black for Innovation.

Neolux – Osram's secondary brand
Osram's secondary brand Neolux will also be present at Automechanika with its own booth in Hall 4.1/C55. The Neolux brand stands for good quality headlights and signal lamps for price-conscious customers. The product range includes special lamps for the discerning driver as well as standard replacement lamps, which will be presented in its complete variety at Automechanika.
