Tiny ceramic package with rectangular Light Emitting Area enhances optical efficacy for ultra slim headlamp designs
The OSLON™ Compact RM from ams OSRAM is designed to set new benchmarks in miniaturization and optical efficiency for next-generation automotive headlamps. With its tiny rectangular light-emitting surface (LES) featuring a high aspect ratio of 1:1.5, it enables ultra-slim headlamp designs without sacrificing performance. Engineered with a compact ceramic package and a 0.5 mm² LES, the Compact RM achieves exceptional luminance of up to 284 cd/mm² at high drive currents (If max 1.3 A). Its rectangular LES geometry is optimized for maximum optical efficiency, allowing reduced optic sizes and slimmer lamp profiles — making it an ideal solution for modern headlamp styling. By combining intense luminance, superior thermal management, and compact form factor, the OSLON™ Compact RM empowers automotive designers to achieve slim, high-performance headlamps with uncompromised optical efficacy.
