The USB Interface & Programmer Box is an universal evaluation tool for magnetic position sensors with I2C or SPI interface. It comes with a 10-way cable to connect to a supported product on an existing board. The I2C or SPI wires are used for the communication (3.3V mode) and additionally the sensor can be powered from the USB I&P Box. By using the USB I&P Box Software, it is possible to read out the sensor data, write a configuration and to permanently program a configuration.

The AS5116-SO_EK_SB socket board is used for quick programming of the AS5116 magnetic rotary position sensors without soldering due to its ZIF socket. This board is used in combination with the USB I&P Box or the SD4Y production programmer. The PCB offers 2 connecting options: The 5-pin dual-row connector on the left side for connecting to the USB I&P Box and the 10-pin dual-row connector on the right side for connecting to the SD4Y Production Programmer. Furthermore, 8-pin header on top gives access to analog signals and GND signals. A ZIF Open-Top-Socket for SOIC8 packages is mounted in the middle. Pin 1 of the IC is indicated by a small dot on the left bottom corner of the socket or by the label on the PCB. All passive components needed for proper operation are included on the PCB. Only a power supply mode of 5 V is possible.

The AS621x family is a complete digital sensor system, designed for the needs of various markets. It features 8 I²C addresses to serve complex design needs. This is especially useful in the prototyping phase of a product where several heat sensitive areas might need monitoring but without needing to reserve additional systems application processor resources. It is a fully calibrated and linearized sensor system that is easy to integrate in any digital system. The family has 3 members (AS6212, AS6214 & AS6218) with different temperature accuracies to give customers the best option for their needs. ams AS6221 Temperature Sensor
The AS6221 is a high accurate digital temperature sensor with an accuracy of up to ±0.09°C, which is ideal for healthcare applications, wearables and devices requiring high-performance thermal information.
The AS6221, is a complete digital sensor system, requires no calibration or linearization. It provides measurement outputs via a standard I²C interface. The sensor supports eight I²C addresses avoiding bus conflicts in multi-sensor use cases.
The ultra-small size of the sensor (WLCSP 1.5 mm x 1.0 mm) enables accurate body/skin temperature measurements in very small health and lifestyle monitoring products.
In addition to the high accuracy and the small form factor, the AS6221 offers a very low power consumption, for example measuring with 4 samples/s, the current consumption is only 6 µA. The sensor has 4 different automatic acquisition modes and keeps the high accuracy over the full supply range from 1.71 to 3.6 V.
An integrated alert functionality triggers an interrupt to the micro controller when a temperature threshold is exceeded. This new position sensor is equipped with revolutionary integrated dynamic angle error compensation (DAEC™) with almost 0 latency and offers a robust design that suppresses the influence of any homogenous external stray magnetic field. A standard 4-wire SPI serial interface allows a host microcontroller to read 14-bit absolute angle position data from the AS5047P and to program non-volatile settings without a dedicated programmer. The AS5147 is a high-resolution rotary position sensor for fast absolute angle measurement over a full 360-degree range. This new position sensor is equipped with a revolutionary integrated dynamic angle error compensation (DAEC™) with almost 0 latency. The robust design of the device suppresses the influence of any homogenous external stray magnetic field. A standard 4-wire SPI serial interface allows a host microcontroller to read 14-bit absolute angle position data from the AS5147 and to program non-volatile settings without a dedicated programmer. The AS5510 is an absolute position sensor for linear applications with short strokes (0.5 to 2.0mm) based on contactless magnetic sensor technology. To measure a lateral movement the sensor needs a simple 2-pole magnet and the measured distance depends on the magnet geometry. ams AS8579 Capacitive Sensor
The AS8579 is a capacitive sensor that detects the change of capacity in different applications. The capacitive sensor measures the impedance that originates between a conducting surface (metallic object) and a human being. The IC captures the current of a metal object and applies algorithms to determine the capacitive and resistive information.
The outcome information can be read through a SPI Interface that can be also used for IC configuration. This high precision performance sensor also supports a multitude of diagnostic features that meet standard functional safety requirements. The capacitive sensing IC is specifically designed to function in an electro-magnetic environment (EMC) with high magnetic disturbances. This allows the sensor to distinguish in a hands-on application if the driver‘s hand is on the steering wheel or not. The AS8579 is available in an SSOP24 package and operates at a supply voltage of 5V.
